The Srinagar-Leh highway is closed. After further snowfall

Ganderbal, 10 Oct. Fresh snowfall at higher altitudes along the mountain pass on Tuesday caused the traffic flow on the Srinagar-Leh Highway to be momentarily interrupted, according to authorities.

An official said, “Zojila Pass received snowfall, and around 1 inch of snow has accumulated, resulting in slippery road conditions,” adding that both Sonamarg and Drass side traffic movement has been temporarily prohibited.

He said that when the weather improves, traffic movement will be permitted.
