April 1, Srinagar: According to authorities, Monday night temperatures increased across most of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a meteorological department official here, Srinagar recorded a low temperature of 6.4°C, up from 4.8°C the night before. This temperature is typical for the time of year in JK’s summer capital.

According to him, Qazigund recorded a low temperature of 7.2°C, 2.1°C above average for the Kashmiri gateway town and 5.8°C higher than the previous night.

Pahalgam had a low of 0.7°C, which was 1.0°C below average for the well-known south Kashmir resort, compared to 0.8°C the night before.

According to the official, Kokernag, which is located in south Kashmir, reported a low temperature of 6.8°C, which was 1.7°C above average and down from 4.2°C the night before.

According to the official, Kupwara town had a low of 3.5°C, down from 4.1°C the night before, and was 1.7°C below average.

Gulmarg’s low was minus 1.6°C, down from minus 1.2°C the night before. This was 0.8°C below average for the world-famous skiing resort located in the Baramulla area of north Kashmir.

He claimed that Jammu recorded the lowest temperature of 15.2°C, which was 1.9°C below average for J&K’s winter capital.

He asserted that they recorded the lows at Banihal (9.0°C), Batote (8.5°C), and Bhaderwah (6.8°C).

In terms of the prediction, he said that, except on April 3, when fairly widespread rain is anticipated, dry weather is anticipated until April 5.
