Jammu, September 8: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday established a Technical Appraisal Committee (TAC) for the project “Installation of CCTV Surveillance in Police Stations and Police Posts across the Union Territory.”

The GAD has appointed Mohamed Saleem Khan, State Informatics Officer of the National Informatics Centre in Jammu and Kashmir, to preside over the Technical Appraisal Committee.

Manager of the University of Jammu’s Centre for IT-Enabled Services and Management It will consist of Anil Gupta and an NIELET representative chosen by the Director Incharge of NIELET in J&K.

Rajeev Gupta, Technical Officer at the IT Department, will be in charge of organising the group’s meetings.

The panel will review and have the document technically validated in accordance with the terms and conditions set for it, and will then make any suggestions to the indenting department that are required.

It will also provide ideas for alternative approaches and their projected costs, if any are included in the paper.

While reviewing the paper, the committee is responsible for making sure it follows any and all government regulations, directives, or policies that may be in effect at the time. Within seven days of this order’s issuing, the indenting department is to submit its report to the General Administration department and the IT department, with advance notice.
