Jammu, August 3: The government has taken a dim view of the repeated disregard for its directives and reiterated its orders to all PSU, Corporation, Board, and Organisation Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Department, and Managing Directors on Thursday.

No “government advertisement, under any circumstances, should be sent or referred directly to print or electronic media without routing the same through the Information Department,” as stated in a circular from GAD Commissioner Secretary Sanjeev Verma.

Government Order No. 671-GAD of 2007 (dated June 8, 2007) and Government Order No. 201-F of 2018 (dated April 6, 2018), as well as Department of Finance Circulars No. 0.I6-GAD of 2015 (dated March 16, 2015), No. 0.33-GAD of 2018 (dated August 7, 2018), and No. 0.28-GAD of 2019 (dated May 13, 2019), state that “it has been directed that no government department

He went on to say that the Government of Jammu and Kashmir’s Media Policy, 2020 clearly prescribed that the Directorate of Information & Public Relations be responsible for the routing and release of all advertisements, communications, and messages relating to government departments, PSUs, autonomous bodies including Local Bodies, Universities, and all bodies or organisations supported directly or indirectly, through the government.
