The Prime Minister will speak to the crowd at a public event in Sahibabad at about noon on the occasion of the country’s introduction of RRTS. Additionally, he will dedicate two sections of the Bengaluru Metro’s east-west route to the country.

Sahibabad will be connected to “Duhai Depot” along the 17-kilometre priority part of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor, which will also include stops at Ghaziabad, Guldhar, and Duhai. The Prime Minister laid the cornerstone for the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor on March 8, 2019.

The Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) project is being created in accordance with the Prime Minister’s ambition to revolutionise regional connectedness in the nation by building new, top-notch transportation infrastructure, according to authorities.

A brand-new, rail-based, high-frequency commuter transport system is called RRTS. RRTS, a revolutionary regional development programme with a design speed of 180 kmph, will provide high-speed trains for interstate travel every 15 minutes, with the ability to increase that frequency to every 5 minutes as needed.

Eight RRTS routes have been selected for development in the NCR (National Capital Region), of which three have been prioritised for implementation in Phase-I, namely the corridors connecting Delhi with Ghaziabad, Meerut, Gurugram, SNB, Alwar, and Panipat. The Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS, which is being built at a cost of more than Rs 30,000 crore, would go from Delhi to Meerut via the cities of Ghaziabad, Muradnagar, and Modinagar in less than an hour.

A cutting-edge regional transportation system on par with the greatest in the world, RRTS, is being created in the nation.

It will provide the nation’s intercity commuting needs with secure, dependable, and contemporary alternatives. The RRTS network will include substantial multi-modal integration with railway stations, metro stations, bus services, etc. in accordance with PM GatiShakti’s National Master Plan.

Such game-changing regional mobility solutions will increase regional economic activity, enhance access to job, educational, and healthcare opportunities, and significantly reduce traffic congestion and air pollution. (ANI)
