Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, the president of the Apni Party, stated on August 14 in Srinagar that the traditional politicians in J&K abandoned the people at the mercy of events following the events of August 5, 2019.

According to him, only the Apni Party initiated contact with the national government in order to secure assistance for our people and safeguard their rights.

According to a party release, Bukhari spoke at a gathering today at the party’s headquarters in Srinagar. This gathering was held to officially welcome Qazi Umar Farooq, the son of Late Qazi Mohammad Afzal, and his companions to the Apni Party. Notably, Late Qazi defeated Omar Abdullah, the National Conference’s then chief ministerial nominee, to represent the Ganderbal constituency in the legislative assembly from 2002 to the year 2008.

Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari welcomed the new members of the Apni Party and expressed his excitement about Qazi Farooq’s potential to succeed his father in becoming a well-known person in Ganderbal and gaining a sizable amount of support from the general people in the days to come.

“I heartily welcome Qazi Farooq and his supporters to the party, and I am confident that their addition will not only further solidify our party cadre in Ganderbal but also ensure devoted service to the local community,” he said. The party’s leadership will give the newcomers all the assistance they need to effectively serve the local populace.Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari spoke on the event and described how and why the Apni Party was founded in March 2020. In response to the events of August 5, 2019, he stated, “We decided to shoulder the responsibility of standing by our people during those trying times. We witnessed people grappling with helplessness and uncertainty about their future.”The traditional politicians hid and decided to keep quiet after the events of August 5, 2019, which plunged the whole Jammu and Kashmir area into chaos and hardship. They kept silent for around one and a half years after Articles 370 and 35A were repealed. The Apni Party, on the other hand, proactively engaged with Delhi’s leaders. Through our efforts, we were able to persuade the central government to guarantee that there would be no demographic changes and that the people of J&K would continue to enjoy their unique rights with regard to employment and agricultural land in J&K.
