Both sides of the Jammu-Srinagar NHW, from Jammu towards Srinagar and vice versa, will allow LMV passengers and private cars, subject to fair weather and good road conditions. These vehicles shall be allowed from Nagrota (Jammu) from 0600 hrs to 1300 hrs and from NAVYUG Tunnel (Qazigund side) from 0600 hrs to 1300 hrs. We will not allow any vehicle after the cut-off time.
HMVs/LOAD CARRIERS:-
Tomorrow, no HMVs shall be allowed after 1200 hrs from Qazigund towards Ramban, Udhampur, Jammu.
No HMVs shall be allowed after 1400 hrs from Panjgrain (Jammu) towards Udhampur;
After 1200 hours, no HMVs from Snake Morh (Jamoora) towards Udhampur
No HMVs shall be allowed after 1200 hrs from Majalta towards Udhampur.
SF Convoy Movement:-
In light of potential traffic congestion due to the narrow carriageway between Nashree and Banihal on the Jammu Srinagar NHW, we advise or request the Security Forces not to operate against the advisory or traffic plan. Tomorrow, they may fly from Jammu towards Srinagar after confirming the status of NHW from TCU Ramban.
SSG ROAD:-
Subject to fair weather and good road conditions (after getting a green signal from road maintenance agencies), only one-way traffic for LMVs 4X4 (passenger/load carrier) from Kargil towards Srinagar shall be allowed on the Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road. Minamarg will allow these vehicles from 0930 hrs. to 1300 hrs. We advise motorists to carry an anti-skid chain to enhance their grip on the slippery road. No vehicle can operate without an anti-skid chain or after the cut-off time.
Bhaderwah-Chamba road:-
Snow accumulation continues to block the Bhaderwah-Chamba road.
