Traffic Plan and Advice for April 17, 2024: Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44)
Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, LMV passengers and private cars shall be allowed from both sides on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, viz., Jammu towards Srinagar and vice versa. However, we will manage HMVs in a regulated manner after assessing the road condition.
Cut-off timing for LMVs given single roads at Dalwas, Panthyal, Nachlana, Kishtwari Pather, etc. (subject to change depending on road conditions)
From Nagrota (Jammu) at 0600 hours to 1300 hours,
The journey began in Jakheni (Udhampur) at 0700 hrs. and ended at 1400 hrs.
The NAVYUG Tunnel (Qazigund side) operates from 0600 to 1300 hours.
After the cut-off time, no vehicle may enter.
SF Convoy Movement:
In light of potential traffic congestion due to the narrow carriageway between Nashree and Banihal on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, we advise or request the Security Forces not to operate against the advisory or traffic plan. Tomorrow, they may fly from Srinagar towards Jammu after confirming the status of the National Highway from TCU Ramban.
SSG ROAD:
The Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari highway is still closed.
Mughal Road:
Mughal Road is still closed.
Bhaderwah-Chamba road:
Snow accumulation continues to block the Bhaderwah-Chamba road.
Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag NH-244:
The Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag highway is still closed.
