Traffic Plan and Advice for 20-04-2024: Jammu-Srinagar National Highway NH-44

Jammu-Srinagar National Highway NH-44 is blocked due to mudslides at Mehad and Ramban, shooting stones at many places, and heavy rainfall on the whole National Highway. We advise people to refrain from travelling on National Highway NH-44 until the weather improves and the road becomes clear. Please ask TCU for the latest update.

Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag NH-244:

The Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag highway is still closed.

SSG ROAD:

Subject to fair weather and good road conditions (after getting a green signal from road maintenance agencies), only one-way traffic for LMVs 4X4 (passenger/load carrier) from Srinagar towards Kargil shall be allowed on the Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road. Sonamarg will allow these vehicles from 0930 hrs. to 1300 hrs. We advise motorists to carry anti-skid chains to enhance their grip on the slippery road. No vehicle can operate without an anti-skid chain or after the cut-off time.

Mughal Road:

Mughal Road is still closed.

Bhaderwah-Chamba road:

Snow accumulation continues to block the Bhaderwah-Chamba road.
