Commissioner Sec Floriculture to be certified in Britain Parliament

Srinagar August 19: World Book of Records named Tulip Garden Srinagar Asia’s Largest Tulip Garden with 1.6 million plants and 68 types.

The certificate was presented to Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad, Commissioner Secretary to Government Floriculture Parks and Gardens Department Jammu and Kashmir, by Santosh Shukla, President and CEO World Book of Records, and other dignitaries. Shiekh Fayaz Ahmed dedicated the crucial and relevant accreditation to the Department’s devoted gardeners, saying that our committed team helped us attain such a tremendous honour. He praised World Book of Records London for placing Tulip Garden Srinagar in the honourable book.

Instead of Department Director Farooq Ahmed Welcomed the dignitaries to the important ceremony.
Tulip Garden Srinagar, located in the foothills of the Zabarwan mountain range at 5600 ft, overlooks Dal Lake in Siraj Bagh and is home to tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, roses, ranunculi, muscaria, and iris.

Central Working Committee of World Book of Records and other world dignitaries thanked Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad and invited him to Britain Parliament London on September 14 to get official certification. Event proceedings were delivered by Azhar Hajini.

Dr. Dilip N Pandit, Editor World Book of Records, Deputy Director, Floriculture, and Asst. Floriculture officials of Kashmir division, and many gardeners attended.
