Baramulla, October 19: Twelve people were unwell after having Wazwaan, a typical Kashmiri dish, during a wedding reception, which was otherwise going well.
According to sources, the event happened in Baramulla’s Singapora neighbourhood, sending the attendees to the hospital and necessitating advanced care at GMC Baramulla.
Sources claim that immediately after drinking the Wazwaan, the afflicted people started to experience health problems. Meal poisoning may have occurred as a consequence of the meal being tainted, it is believed. All of the patients who became unwell, however, are now in stable condition as a result of getting medical care at GMC Baramulla, so it is important to note.
The police have taken notice of the occurrence and are further investigating it, according to a police officer who was there at the time. KS
