Srinagar, September 12: Two drug dealers were apprehended by police in Baramulla, and illegal drugs were seized from their hands.
Lateef Teli, son of Mohammad Yousuf, a resident of Wussan Pattan, was apprehended by a police force from Police Post Palhallan led by the IC PP Palhallan and supervised by the SDPO Pattan at a checkpoint set up near Palhallan Morh. A total of 110 grammes of Charas was found in his belongings during the search.
Mohammad Jamal Ahanger, son of Ghulam Mohammad Ahanger, a resident of Yakhmanpora Pattan, was apprehended by a police unit from Police Post Mirgund at a roadblock set up near Odina Mirgund. Poppy straw weighing 5.6 kilogrammes was found in his hands during the search.
Both suspected drug dealers have been sent to local police stations.
Accordingly, cases under applicable laws have been filed at the appropriate police stations, and investigations have begun.
