Udhampur: On Thursday, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Udhampur Saloni Rai called a meeting of officials from different departments to go through the action plan for carrying out the Chief Secretary’s orders.
In addition to Chief Planning Officer Mudassir Yaqoob Zargar and other top officials, the meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Ghan Sham Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Joginder Singh Jasrotia, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Rafiq Ahmed Jaral, Additional SP Anwar-Ul-Haq, and Assistant Commissioner Revenue.
During a thorough discussion, a number of significant subjects were covered, including the Cleanliness Campaign Sites, Planning for Space Management and Beautification of Offices, Scrap and Redundant Items Disposal in accordance with the General Financial Rules (GFR), Handling Public Grievances (CPGRAMS, IGRAMS, and grievances), Review of Files and Weeding of Files, Brashtachar Mukt Bharat, Kalash Yatra, Action Plan for Snow
The Deputy Commissioner stressed at the meeting how crucial it was to guarantee that each department’s use of the monies given under Centrally Sponsored Schemes was fully utilized. SDMs were given instructions to pay visits to Anganwadi centres, handle pressing concerns, and keep an eye on current initiatives. It was mandated that several departments concentrate on sanitation campaigns and historic site operations.
In offering services to the public, DC emphasised the necessity for openness, effectiveness, and accessibility. She enjoined the responsible officials to set up informational events in their local communities to raise public knowledge of the different government programmes and to help people get the most out of them. To ensure that these decisions were carried out successfully in their respective departments, the DC gave instructions to all officials.
