The Federation of Self Financing Technical Institutions, All India (FSFTI) has petitioned the University Grants Commission (UGC) and All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, to push back the deadline for technical programme admissions in all accredited institutions to October 30.

Everyone is aware of the devastating effects of the floods that hit all of North India, according to Dr. Anshu Kataria, President of the FSFTI, President of the Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA), and Chairman of the Aryans Group of Colleges in Rajpura, close to Chandigarh. Students were unable to apply for a variety of courses because there was no connectivity with other states. In addition, Kataria said that more than 300 highways in Himachal had been cut off from the rest of the nation for more than a month.
