Srinagar, 17 July 2018: Jammu and Kashmir leads the nation in the Union Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises’ (MSME) Geo Tagging of Cluster Development Projects (CDPs).

As a consequence of this success, the federal government would be able to provide funding for projects in Jammu and Kashmir more quickly, boosting the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) throughout the state.

Cluster establishment Projects are being implemented by the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) throughout the nation, including in J&K. These projects are eligible for a federal government grant of up to 80% for common facility center projects and 70% for the establishment of Industrial Estates.

The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has awarded 10 contracts to J&K for the creation of Industrial Estates and Common Facility Centers (CFCs). The Union Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has a field office in Jammu, and the MSME-DFO Jammu is in charge of implementing several programmes, such as Cluster Development initiatives, for the region’s MSME sector.

The combined cost of CFCs and IDs in J&K is around Rs 90.73 crore. The Union Ministry has recently requested that all MSE-CDP projects, including those in J&K, be geo-tagged. The Ministry has created a mobile application (app) that uses images taken with the Geo app to monitor the progress (in terms of both completion and percentage) of projects approved under the MSE-CDP.
