Jammu, Oct. 9: Between August of this year and now, 580 people perished in 4165 traffic accidents across Jammu and Kashmir.

According to official records, 134 people died in road accidents in the Jammu district of the Union Territory, followed by 58 people in Kathua. During this time, traffic accidents claimed 23, 24, and 21 lives in the districts of Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban, respectively.

Up until August, Anantnag in the Kashmir division reported 38 fatalities due to traffic accidents.
