US Army Chief: India-US relationship essential for the Indo-Pacific

26 September, New Delhi: According to General Randy George, Chief of Staff of the US Army, cooperation between the Indian and US armies is crucial for maintaining security in the Indo-Pacific region.

He was addressing the New Delhi-based Indo-Pacific Armies Chiefs Conference (IPACC).

According to General Randy George, the alliance between the US and Indian military is solid and only becoming stronger.

17 more Army commanders are in India, along with General George, to attend the IPACC in New Delhi. Here, generals Manoj Pande and George also spoke at a joint news conference.

General George said at the briefing that “our warriors are honing their talents, refining their art, and learning from one another. They are increasing mutual respect and strengthening our militaries’ relationship.

“We all understand how crucial friendship and trust are in today’s testy international security context. The importance of having excellent partners and allies has increased significantly.

“Yes, the strategic environment we operate in is hard, but this is nothing new. We have surmounted obstacles in the past, and we will continue to do so, said General George.

Speaking to the media, General Manoj Pande stated, “Bilateral and multilateral interactions between components of the Armed Forces of countries have been continuing, and cooperation among our land forces is a crucial component of the collective response. The vision of a safe, stable, free, open, and inclusive Indo-Pacific that offers chances for the progress of all countries resonates well with the topic of this year’s event, United for Peace, preserving peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific area.
