The league has always been a commercial, cricket, and entertainment event. The league continues to enthral fans on television and on digital platforms, and this year was no different, according to the research.

The Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India estimates that the IPL broadcast on the Star Sports Network drew a whopping 505 million people and garnered an astonishing 427.1 billion minutes of viewing time. JioCinema, a digital media company, stated that 449 million people watched the IPL on its platform, with over 126 million people preferring connected TV alternatives to enjoy the sport.

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) has a stunning value for its first season of Rs 1,250 crore, or over $150 million. The league’s huge television and championship rights agreements served as the primary impetus for this enormous value.

The overall selling revenues of the franchises, which total an astounding Rs 4,670 crore, are a particularly stunning reflection of the WPL’s expected success.

Owners of teams are demonstrating their faith in the league’s future course with this large investment. They predict that the WPL will continue to grow and provide considerable financial benefits over the next several years.
