Tarun Chugh, national general secretary of the BJP and in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir, questioned opposition parties on Thursday, September 28, for not inviting parties commanded by Sajad Lone, Altaf Bukhari, and Ghulam Nabi Azad to a meeting scheduled for October 3 in Jammu.

In a statement, Chugh added that opposition leaders are complaining that the BJP mistreated the people of Jammu and Kashmir. “While it is true that, under the rule of these parties for three decades, J&K was known as the terrorist capital of India, these parties now allege that the BJP has fostered a climate of terrorism in J&K.”

He further said that it is evident today that PM Modi has transformed J&K into a tourism and development centre, and terrorism has decreased in the Valley since the BJP came to power.

“The public is able to observe the results of government initiatives. “The opposition’s allegations are without merit,” he stated.

Chugh stated that in previous DDC, Panchayat, and BDC elections, the opposition parties formed an alliance, but millions of people voted against them. “As a result, Mufti and Abdullah have formed a partnership. Although they were elected, the people of Jammu and Kashmir will not tolerate this alliance. This demonstrates that the public is aware of the parties’ actual identities.”
