When the road to Amarnath is repaired, the pilgrimage will resume, but for the time being it has been cancelled.

Amarnath Yatra from Jammu to Srinagar was halted on Wednesday, August 9th, when a landslide in Ramban area obstructed the roadway.

A landslip on the highway in Ramban district has halted the flow of Yatris between Jammu and Srinagar, as well as the flow of returning pilgrims from Srinagar to Jammu, according to officials.

A landslide near T 2 Marog in the Ramban district has closed the route.

When the road to Amarnath is repaired, the pilgrimage will resume, but for the time being it has been cancelled.

Earlier, the police issued a warning, “People are advised not to travel on NH-44 without confirmation from TCUs.”

The clearing operation, according to the traffic police, is now underway.
