Baramulla, September 02: Baramulla police have detained a lady who was posing as a police officer and have found a police outfit and Rs 10,000 in cash in her hands.

According to a statement given to the news organisation Kashmir News Observer (KNO), police station Kunzer received a complaint from one person, Wasif Hassan of Kunzer, who stated that during a bus ride, a woman named Ashia approached him and claimed to be a sub-inspector working at Police Station Kunzar.

She promised the complainant, according to the statement, that she had the power to obtain a place for him as a constable in the J&K Police. He provided the fictitious police officer Rs 10,00 after being seduced by the prospect of a job.

According to the report, the lady reconnected with Hasan and asked for more money to hasten the fulfilment of his appointment order.

She said that this procedure will be finished in two to three days. Hasan quickly reported the incident to Police Station Kunzer after suspecting dishonesty. In response, a case was filed at the police station, and an investigation was launched.

According to the statement, police were able to detain the accused, known as Ashia (a false name), throughout the course of the inquiry. Bisma Yousuf Sheikh, a daughter of Mohd Yousuf Sheikh of Khag, was really the person who was arrested.
