As Uri has hosted 70K tourists this year, LoC peace leads to a surge in tourism. 26 December, Uri: The Indian Army has now opened the well-known Kaman Aman Setu Bridge to visitors in the wake of the ceasefire accord that restored peace to the Line of Control (LoC) between India and Pakistan in Kashmir. Somewhat surprisingly, since the region reopened this year, 70,000 more visitors have visited there. As a tourism destination, the Indian Army is now pushing well-known locations along the Line of Control, such as Kaman Post in the Uri sector of the Baramulla district, which has welcomed 70,000 visitors so far this year, according to government statistics. With the opening of the historic cross-LoC Karawan-e-Aman bus service, the Kaman Aman Setu bridge connected Pakistan and India. As it became a symbol of peace, this bridge served to unite the split families from both nations. For those visiting the valley, the Indian Army has now opened it. Aiding the residents of the regions along the Line of Control is the action that the Indian army has taken. Additionally, the Indian army is assisting locals in establishing guest hotels and homestays in select areas. The opening of the Kaman Post to visitors by the Indian army is a commendable initiative. Areas like the Uri sector will benefit from more local tourism. The opening of the Kaman Post has made us hope that other tourist destinations, such as the stunning Rustum, will follow suit. The inhabitants of Uri will greatly benefit from it. Additionally, a large number of visitors want to observe the two major power plants in the region. A local official said, "It will also help the local restaurant owners, shopkeepers, etc." The goal of this effort is to strengthen the local economy and provide employment and entrepreneurial possibilities for the youth of these nearby towns. In addition to that, it is to educate the populace about the nation's history and the troops' sacrifices. They are known as the "Veer Path" and include busts of warriors who gave their lives for their country. Inspiration for the next generation is the goal. "The Indian Army's upgrades are highly acclaimed." Seeing the Kaman Post simply made us very pleased. Our invitation to visit us and discover the history of this location extends to all citizens. The people who reside here mentioned that the army has also shown the history of all the troops who have given their lives here in different battles. With peace now firmly established, Uri remains a compelling travel destination, inviting visitors to discover its splendor. Mohammad Amin, a local, said, "The administration and Indian Army have done a remarkable job of marketing the Uri area. Like other well-known locations in Kashmir, we hope that it will eventually be included on the official tourist map by the government. Another local resident, Bashir Ahmad, said that this would allow the community to interact with the inflow of visitors and offer job prospects." Years have passed since the government halted the Srinagar Muzaffarabad bus service, preventing the gate of Kaman Aman Setu from opening. There, the first café close to the Line of Control was opened by the Indian army.
